GOING: H

Grand Syndicates Spring Stakes 1200m

Track: HEAVY 9   Rain (Max: 13)   Rail: True. (Pent: 7.03).

Pindaric and Quietly Discreet have enough pace to take up the running despite wide draws. We see the return of multiple G1 winner BEHEMOTH (1) who has won this race the last two years. He hasn't been at his best over the past year but did still run a good second to the talented Kemalpasa in a similar race earlier this year and is so well in at the weights. If he runs near his best, he'll win. OUTLAWS REVENGE (2) might be the value. He closed off nicely for 4th in the G3 Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield and will be running on strongly. PINDARIC (5) kept his fresh record intact with another strong win last time. He's not as effective second up but should push forward and be thereabouts. CALYPSO REIGN (3) is shooting for three in a row and will be running on late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Behemoth & Outlaws Revenge quinella.
