Plenty of pace with Iceland Poppy and The Perfect One up front, pressured by Capote and Fat Albert. THE PERFECT ONE (5) ended his last campaign with a fair run at Ellerslie, and the form from that race has since been franked. He has been close up in a couple of tune-up trials, and the drawback here will be his wide gate. Can win. CAPOTE (1) franked his trial form with a pair of sound runs to open his career, including a last start defeat by a nose at Taupo on a soft track after setting the pace. He has enough pace to take up another handy position, and his first win is not far away. FAT ALBERT (4) had been trialling well prior to finishing fourth fresh up here nearly 3 weeks ago, when needing the run. He cops another good draw, and it is encouraging to see Warren Kennedy keep the faith. The winkers are on, and he can get the job done. HAZMAT (3) was put aside after finishing fourth on debut here in late July. A good track will suit him, and with the aid of the pole position, he will be hitting the line hard. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Perfect One will be ready to rumble fresh up.
