Ferrari Man has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. Competitive. WAL'S ANGELS (6) has been mixing trips but is well placed in this contest. Was plainer at Wyong last time, off a win and a nose defeat in country 66s prior. Races forward, and Heywood rides and is building a strong record with the Olive yard. VERMICELLA (2) resumed well-supported in Open grade at Canberra and was beaten 2L. She goes second-up and has plenty up her sleeve. Has a handy 3kg claim and has won 2/3 this track. Expect the mile to suit on a 7-day return. TAVOLO (1) has been narrowly at Kembla Grange and Canberra her last two, both at this distance. Settles hand and has to be considered as well. FERRARI MAN (3) will likely cross over and control the race. His 1.2L defeat in a Wagga Riverside 66 last time stacks up, and he's won 2/4 here over the distance. Keep onside.
