Lilidan to boot up on the fence and lead in a race lacking a lot of early pace. OSTILE (4) did not get into the race at all when finishing at the rear of the field at Hamilton 11 days ago but is much better than that. He will appreciate getting straight back out to a middle distance and a firmer track would also be in his favour. Don't drop him yet as he can win this. LILIDAN (10) fought on bravely to finish fourth as favourite at Donald nearly a fortnight ago and will make full use of the pole position here. She won't have any excuses with her fitness now and is ready to win another race at short notice. Follow your money. HIS ZEDNESS (8) raced far too keenly last time out at Donald and had nothing left for the run home that day. He shouldn't mind the drop back to 1800m and can bounce straight back into the money here. BORDER VISAGE (1) has been steadily getting better as his fitness improves and the extra furlong will suit him right down to the ground. He is on a 6-day backup and is poised to put his best hoof forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: His Zedness each-way.
