GOING: G

MGI Golf Stutt Stakes 1600m

Track: GOOD 4   Clear (Max: 16)   Rail: Out 3m Entire Circuit.

Pressure on from word go with Dawn Service, Garcon D'espoir and Daggers handlebars down ahead of Evaporate and Detroit City. DAWN SERVICE (3) looks the one to catch. He brought the coveted Autumn Glow form down to Melbourne last start and proved too strong in front, leading throughout to win the Listed Exford Plate. No issue out to 1600m, the regally bred colt will prove awfully hard to catch again. EVAPORATE (2) has done nothing wrong to date and won his last two here very well. Harder here but he'll land on speed and give a big sight. DAGGERS (4) was sound in the Exford Plate last time. Out to a mile should be fine, he must have some claims. DETROIT CITY (5) was fourth in the Exford and is in the mix. HENLEIN (7) will relish this trip having worked home okay fresh, but he'll likely spot some good ones a big start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dawn Service to win.
