Plenty of early pace on show, particularly from Leopard Lady, Mariachi Madness and Lucretius. BLAZING LIGHT (6) is better than his last start run would suggest. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this course and distance. He is likely to race up on the speed and he may prove hard to peg back. WAVE WARRIOR (4) should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung inwards over the closing stages. He should enjoy the rise in distance and Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. COLUMBIA ROAD (5) stayed on well when second over 2000m last time. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. She is in a good space and should give the males a decent run for their money. LUCRETIUS (3) finished out of the money two starts back then finished fourth over 2000m at this track last start. Likely improver with strong place prospects.
