GOING:

THE PUB - DRIVE OF THE DAY PACE 1980m

Track: GOOD   Clear (Max: 21)

NEXT TO ME (6) has been racing well with top-four finishes at his last five starts. Edged out by a nose here two back and missed narrowly again at Newcastle since. Draws a couple of spots lower than he did there. Can break through. BRING YOUR BEST (3) has done well to place from back row draws in his last two outings, one of them here and the other at Newcastle when beaten only 1.4 metres last week. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Major player. THOMAS ROYAL (1) came from wider when runner-up in a higher-graded race here two weeks ago. Has the gate speed to take advantage of the ace draw. YOGI (7) is worth plenty of thought having come from this row for a last-start win by 2.4 metres at this venue.
