Keen battle for the lead with La Valse, Yodono Homare and Jo Kai in advance of Mozu Masterpiece and Hanuman Beach. ORI'S GENIE (7) turned in a fine effort to score by a neck at today's course and distance when resuming from a spell last time out. Well placed, and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. HANUMAN BEACH (6) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only a head over 1500m at Funabashi. Looks well placed, and can go one better. JO KAI (8) has Ryo Novata going aboard after she was well held last time out in sixth over 1500m at this track. Should camp just off the leaders. Each way value. YODONO HOMARE (5) returns after a spell of five months. Looking to emulate his win at this track at the beginning of last prep. Has to be respected, so include in all combinations.
