Very keen early battle with King Ku and Benissimo matching motors and there are a few others that can keep them busy. KING KU (1) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings over today's distance, the latest coming when second at this track a fortnight ago. Sure to be in the finish. JOKER BROWN (11) is racing well and wasn't far away last time when second over 1700m at this track on July 23. Rates highly here on that effort and a breakthrough win would not surprise. BENISSIMO (10) was strongly fancied at $2.30 last start over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt but could only manage to finish sixth. That followed a run of three minor placings since resuming. One of the contenders. ORO ROSSO (6) is a five-start maiden who returned last time with a solid third at Sapporo over 1800m. Definite chance with improvement in the locker.
