Genuine tempo from Rapaport leading Doomani. DEFICIT (2) ran on and proved too strong when winning over 1600m a fortnight ago in his first visit to this track. They way he finished off there suggests he will enjoy the step up in trip and he is drawn for a cushy run. Can go back to back. SOUTHERN STOCK (1) was an eye catcher fresh, settling last early but working home to finish 1.8L behind Deficit. Will be fitter and he too will enjoy the rise in distance. DIASONIC (6) is working towards a win off back-to-back placings and comes in well after the claim. MOKTAFFY (7) didn't miss by much in his first try at both the track and the trip last start while WHEELS (8) ran on to score last start and won her only previous third up attempt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Deficit to back up the last-start win.
