Has finished runner-up to some progressive types at her last two starts and gets her chance today from the low gate. Anna Roper sticks and will take catching. DEEBEE'S GIRL (6) returned from a lengthy break with a tough on-pace third over 1000m at Taree. Placed second-up in the past and has genuine top-three prospects. BUZZ SAW (1) working his way into winning form after the two solid on-pace minor placings. Can get across from the wide gate and prove hard to stop. THE SIMPLE LIFE (10) backs up quickly after holding her ground to the line when fifth over 1006m at Port Macquarie. Goes into the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Varazze is expected to shed her maiden status.
