MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (7) started favourite when returning to NSW last start but was held up and finished midfield at Newcastle. Had been racing well with a string of wins and placings in Queensland prior. Gets a soft run on the inside of the second line and if gaps come he can make amends. TIGERMAC (8) is really delivering now with two wins and a nose second in his last three starts here. Overcame a draw on this row when he scored by 7.7 metres last time. Big chance again. ULTIMATE EMPIRE (1) returns to a circuit where he owns a good record and should get every chance from the inside draw. TINNY MAHONEY (4) will be near peak fitness fourth up and could be ready to win after back-to-back placings here.
