Moderate tempo with Conversations leading the way. NANDOWRIE (3) was in the firing line on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1400m at Wellington. Maps for a soft run and the mile should be well within his scope. Tough to beat. BOLD BENDER (8) has had plenty of tries, but the step up to the mile can suit her better. She's on the quick back-up following an improved effort and make the finish. MEGANHEW (10) has the ability but has been giving away starts. Out to the mile should advantage as does the 2kg claim. She has scope for more improvement. CONVERSATIONS (1) was plain last time, but was going well at the non-Tabs prior. This is a touch harder, but he's certainly in the mix.
