Moderate pace with Delorean rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. RELIABLE SQUEEZE (10) has been thereabouts in 3 stronger fields at Ellerslie recently, including her last run there a week ago over a mile. She is bred to race over longer journeys, and in her first run over a middle distance, she is the one to beat. INNOCENT VICTIM (1) stuck to her task gamely for second over 1800m at New Plymouth on a heavy track there nearly 3 weeks ago. A better surface could be a query, but this field is not strong, and he can figure in the top three again. CHICFLIX (9) has not run a bad race for some time, but just can't seem to win. She is down 1.5kg on her last start, and another honest effort is expected. ELTON ROCKS (7) has not had the best of luck recently and is due a change of fortune. Each-way value.
