Baraqiel has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. GUMDROPS (7) resumes. She's a handy mare who is a dual Listed winner at this track and distance. She was well beaten in the G2 Tobin Bronze before a spell but draws nicely here and looks well placed. BARAQIEL (4) won his first four in a row and has been good in two runs either side of a let up since, finishing third. He can be fitter from his last start at Flemington and just needs to get across from the wide draw. BARBER (3) worked home well enough fresh in a strong BM88 at Rosehill, beaten three lengths. His best is certainly good enough. WAR MACHINE (10) resumes. He'll be better over a touch further but went unbeaten in three runs last time in and must be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gumdrops to win.
