Not a big field but many line-up for the first time so the pace should be genuine. A few of the major chances come out with scratchings. That means COMMEDIA (10) will be well fancied off the inside. Looks overdue for a win having been runner-up two of three this time in. Has good speed, drawn the rails and expected to take running down. JADE TREES (3) is a first starter coming along nicely leading into this, with some strong Flemington jump-outs. Looks to have ability and bold showing expected. TOROTENA (6) showed ability in first campaign including a fast finishing third at Ballarat before a break. Readied for this with two jump-outs, winning both, and should go close this moderate line-up. DYNAMITE DANCER (4) is a locally trained debutante by Pierata from Zanzidance. Fitter for two recent jump-outs and bold showing expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Commedia should take catching.
