Strong tempo from Hey Dugee, Anthracia and Papaver Miner. SMASHING LULU (4) returned from an outing in Brisbane with a narrow defeat at Moruya first-up. Didn't launch a serious challenge in a CL2 at Canberra second-up as the market anticipated. This suits better and she has a handy 3kg claim and a low gate. Rates to win on her home track. LAGUNA SECA (2) peaks off a narrow defeat this track/trip finishing it off well. Deserves another win and has the blinkers on for the first time. He's a threat. HELL OF A SHOW (6) is hard to catch but two back led beaten 1.6L at Goulburn in a 58 and that would see him in the finish. He's capable of using the inside gate and deserves to be kept onside. ANTHRACIA (5) won here over 1000m this grade and then didn't have the best of it early in a similar contest. She's won 4/10 at the track but has struggled to run out a strong 1200m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Smashing Lulu finds the right race.
