COURIER MAGIC (1) has been knocking on the door this campaign, finishing 0.8L away at Happy Valley last time out. He went under in a photo finish here two back and Purton remains in the saddle. Been a while between drinks, but looks poised to strike in what looks a suitable event. BEAUTY MISSILE (7) finished off nicely at Happy Valley last time out when 1.8L off the winner when dropping back to this class. He drops in weight again today and gets Bowman in the saddle now, with the Visors replacing the winkers. Still a maiden after 36 starts but he rates well on recent efforts. EURO ROCKS (12) got too far back last time out over 1200m and now rises to the 1650m journey. He wasn't far away over this course and distance two and three starts back and can make his presence felt down in the weights. MEEPMEEP (3) can improve off a freshen with J-Mac in the saddle as he drops in grade. |

COLOURFUL WINNER (5) bounced back last time out on the turf course as he dropped in class last time out. He loses Purton but gains James McDonald today from a good draw. Missed as favourite last time out but had trialled well prior and can make his presence felt. KING ALLOY (1) missed narrowly last start at Happy Valley when 0.3L off the winner after setting the tempo under Kingscote. It's his first try on this surface, though his racing style should suit. Can be tough to run down from the front. DOUBLE BINGO (10) got the job done narrowly two back before a 2L defeat The Valley last time out. Purton hops in the saddle now as he returns to this course and distance where he's had success previously. Everything points to a forward showing. WINNING MACHINE (3) is on the quick turnaround after a sound performance here last week. Can feature once again. |

CARNARVON HANDICAP 1200m
BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (2) closed off strongly fresh at Happy Valley and now comes to Sha Tin. The cheekpieces go on today and he's turned in a quiet trial since his latest effort. Looks open to plenty of improvement now and can land the knockout blow. VIGOR EYE (5) is on debut for the Hayes barn with Avdulla in the saddle having partnered this gelding all the way through. He's been very impressive in his last two trials and maps to get every chance from the inside draw. Looks to have some class about him and he can make an immediate impact. AUTUMN VIBES (10) has the speed to roll across from barrier 10 and getting back to the more spacious Sha Tin circuit looks ideal. Still a maiden after 8 starts, but has turned in some strong figures and this looks a good opportunity to shed that tag. LITTLE MONSTER (6) flew home last start down the straight course and looks ready for this trip now. Can play a leading role. |

QUICK CONTRIBUTION (13) missed by a half-length at Happy Valley when returning from a break, closing strongly from beyond midfield. The form out of that race has been sound and the rise in trip looks ideal. Blinkers go on now and he looks poised to strike with a favourable set up. CITY THUNDER (3) will be fitter for three trials coming into this with Purton being on board for all of them. He remains in the saddle today for his return effort and he did show class before his long spell. Can resume on a positive note. JUBILANT WINNER (1) got back last start and never featured over 1200m here, finishing a long way back. He's since trialled well since that performance and looks ready to bounce back to form out to 1400m. Can sit closer today and put his best foot forward. WUKONG JEWELLERY (4) can improve back to this track and trip. |

WITH A SMILE (2) settled a touch worse than midfield at The Valley last time out and never really got into calculations, ending up 3.5L off the winner. Purton remains in the saddle today and he returns to a track and trip he's had success at previously. Can return to winning ways. BETTER AND BETTER (11) hasn't been far away over this course and distance in recent efforts and he's been kept up to the mark with a recent trial. He's drawn to sit closer this time around and Ho sticks from the latest trial. He looks the main danger. WINNING DATA (8) closed off strongly last time out and can sit a touch closer this time around with Wong claiming from a good gate. Hasn't won for a while but is knocking on the door and won't be far away. FIT FOR BEAUTY (3) was far too good over this track and trip last time out and can repeat the dose without surprising. |

FAST RESPONDER (7) sat on the speed last start and just missed over this course and distance. Guyon replaces the apprentice hoop today and he maps for a similar run today down the grandstand rail. Rates highly on his latest effort and can go one better this time around. WE ARE HERO (5) is on the quick turnaround after tackling C2 company last time out where he wasn't disgraced. J-Mac rides now as he returns to C3 company and the outer draw is ideal for the straight course. Expecting him to put his best foot forward. SKY TRUST (4) won convincingly two back before a 1.5L defeat in C2 last time out, both over 1200m. Back to the straight course today is come query, but he rates highly on his recent form and he can make his presence felt. HORSEPOWER (2) is better than we've seen in both runs this season and the drop in grade can see him return to form. |

STAR FIGURE (7) just missed first-up before getting back last time out and never featuring when a $3.40 chance. McDonald sticks with him today and he comes onto the All Weather for the first time. Likely to get back in the run but he'll be strong late and his first-up effort says he can land the knockout blow. JOLLY COMPANION (10) has won a trial since his latest effort over this course and distance 38 days ago. Guyon replaces the apprentice hoop today and his best form has come under this scenario. Maps nicely and can feature in the finish once again. NOTTHESILLYONE (11) is racing in good order, leading throughout when back in C5 last start and holding on for a narrow win. Back up to C4 now, but he was racing well at this level prior, and at this track and trip. Can go back-to-back as he drops in weight. KA YING RESILIENCE (8) has impressed at the trials recently and looks set for a bold showing. |

BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (1) is 1/1 at this track and trip and has trialled very impressively on this course since his latest effort when leading the G2 Premier Bowl. Purton hops on board today after partnering him in his latest trial. Can roll across and be tough to run down. SING DRAGON (6) led and bolted in two back over 1650m, but he is very effective back to the sprint trips. He's won 4/8 at this track and trip and Teetan knows him well. Needs some luck from the draw, but can bounce back to winning ways without surprising. TALENTS AMBITION (7) disappointed over the mile last start on the turf course and comes back to this track and trip on the quick turnaround. He rates well on his latest efforts and if he can hold his form coming back in trip, he'll be in this for a very long way. INVINCIBLE SHIELD (3) wasn't far away on the turf here last start and races on the AW for the first time. Has trialled well on this surface however and creates plenty of interest. |

NEW FOREST (1) led and bolted in over this course and distance last time out, winning by 3.8L in an impressive display. He's since trialled well up at Conghua and boasts a good record on this course. Can find the front from a better draw today and looks the one to beat off that effort. RELIABLE PROFIT (4) was far too good two back before getting out of his ground last start at this track and trip when jumping the race favourite, finishing strongly to be 1.8L away. Bowman may be able to take closer order today from an inside barrier and it wouldn't surprise to see him return to winning ways. ALLCASH (13) got the job done first-up at Happy Valley and rises in grade off that effort. He drops in weight and gets Purton on board today with improvement expected. Has jumped favourite on this course and distance previously and is not to be discounted. EXCELLENCE VALUE (2) missed in a bunched finish last start but rates well back to this trip. |

LITTLE PARADISE (1) got the job done two back before a 0.3L defeat last time out over this course and distance. Purton remains with the gelding and he has the speed to slot in from a tricky draw. Looks a gelding on the rise and he can continue to work his way through the grades. TOP DRAGON (2) won easily here 42 days ago and has been back to the rails since, winning nicely under J-Mac who sticks with him today. Likely to get back from the draw once again, but only rises 2kg for the win here and rates highly on that performance. BUCEPHALAS (12) jumped a $8 chance first-up here 22 days ago and landed the knockout blow, sitting handy and getting the job done by 1.3L. He rises in grade today, but drops a stack of weight and he maps for a lovely run close to the speed. Can go back-to-back without surprising. KA YING ATTACK (4) was good from the back here first-up and is not to be discounted. |
