NUM TIME COMMENT
1 02:05 LATITUDE LIQUOR WHOLESALERS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300m
Hutt Street to find the front in the small field. HUTT STREET (5) is the likely leader suited back 100m in trip. Carriers just 52kg with the claim, and this is well within his scope. Races well here and deserves another chance. HIMEROS (4) switched yards and has needed the two runs back. He's raced in better Maidens and is on a 6-day return. Quick improvement is likely. MATILDA NO MORE (3) got too far back on resumption. Her debut effort three back at Wellington would have her right in this, and we should also see more from her. MARY LE BONE (6) placed at Queanbeyan before battling effort at Orange for the new yard. She had been away for 40 days and will be better for it. Matt Cahill is a positive jockey engagement and he will position forward.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hutt Street gets the nod.
2 02:40 VALE COL HEPPER MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
Pace only fair with Conversations rolling to the lead ahead of Nortoko and Earlington. NANDOWRIE (3) was in the firing line on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1400m at Wellington. Maps for a soft run and the mile should be well within his scope. Tough to beat. BOLD BENDER (8) has had plenty of tries, but the step up to the mile can suit her better. She's on the quick back-up following an improved effort and make the finish. MEGANHEW (10) has the ability but has been giving away starts. Out to the mile should advantage as does the 2kg claim. She has scope for more improvement. CONVERSATIONS (1) was plain last time, but was going well at the non-Tabs prior. This is a touch harder, but he's certainly in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Nandowrie.
3 03:15 WESTERN PLAINS AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1600m
Tactical given the lack of speed. SPORTS PAGE (5) improved last time when winning this grade/distance at Wellington comfortably. Keeps the 2kg claim and maps well. She's left the one they have to beat. MARNOO (6) lifted strongly to score two runs back then stalked the speed at Wellington, beaten 1.6L behind the above. He's sure to give big sight and may prove the threat again. ROUGE MOULIN (1) has been within range in better class. The 3kg claim helps offset some of the steep weight rise, and this is winnable for him. LAISVAS (8) improved sharply to score by a nose over 1600m at Narromine six days ago. Stays down in the weights and goes in on an each-away basis.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Sports Page.
4 03:50 CIVIC IPN VALUERS COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Genuine tempo with King Lesong leading the way. GAIL JEANETTE (9) led at Wellington first-up and was back on track beaten a nose as favourite. Has raced and Group and Stakes level and has plenty to give. Maps well and is the one to beat. IMASTATEMENT (7) resumed in the same race beaten 1.3L. Draws inside and she has more to offer. She will get every chance to bridge the gap. JUST JOAN (8) peaks and is going well enough to make the finish. Missed a whisker at Muswellbrook two back, and the 2kg claim is handy. Can take a sit and come late. COMOBELLA (6) has been off the scene for a long while but has trialled well at Warren. Disappointed at Orange on debut over the short course, and this looks a better starting point. Has a handy 2kg claim and deserves to be kept onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Gail Jeanette to win.
5 04:30 AG SAVE DIRECT COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. KEADOOL (1) pushed forward and went on to record a determined win in a CL2 over 1000m at Wellington. Carries more weight but maps well and is well placed to repeat the dose. BRUMMAGEN (4) led and missed a whisker in the same contest, improving again. Keeps the 2kg claim, and he's sure to threaten again. EMPHATIC BEL (7) led and went close at Warren and his half-length defeat here three back in a 66 stacks right up. Draws awkwardly but has solid each-way claims. PRESS FORWARD (2) did about what was expected first up, but she's proven second up and has won this course/trip. The 2kg claim is handy, and she will settle back and hit the line.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Keadool.
6 05:10 WESTSIDE HOTEL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1300m
Genuine tempo with Jade Division leading the way. TRUMPTY DUMPTY (4) was quickly back on track beaten 1L over 1400m at Wellington. It was a tough effort from a wide gate and he draws handy today. Finds a suitable race and will get every chance to go one better. SEVEN MILE MISSILE (1) raced favourite in the same contest and showed plenty of ticker to grab a minor place. Peaks today and keeps the handy 2kg claim. He'll go close. JADE DIVISION (6) comes out of the same race and didn't have the best of it. His narrow defeat at Bathurst prior reads strongly, and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. PRINCESS MARY (9) mixes the form but she wasn't beaten far at Orange last time, improving quickly for the new barn. Not sure the rails gate advantages, but she keeps Gallagher and he will give her every chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Trumpty Dumpty.
7 06:30 LOCAL SEARCH CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
Pace genuine with The Irish Boy and Box Of Crackers pressing hard closely followed by Yiasou and Billabong Rose. KEVIN (1) led and recorded a strong Maiden win over 1100m at Wellington, getting there by 1.3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and looks well placed to take the next step. STORMY SWEY (3) was safely held last start over 1000m at Orange, after a slow start. That followed a good win on debut at this track, and Matt Cahill is reunited off that. Presents fitter and he can get back on track. YIASOU (4) led and won by 5L in Maiden grade at Warren over 1400m and followed with a 1.5L defeat at Wellington over a mile. Drops back to a spring on a 3-week return and has a 2kg claim today. The speedy galloper is sure to give a sight. TEEPEE PRINCESS (5) resumes and has switched stables. Has the rail and has shown enough to suggest he'll be very competitive if presented on song.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Kevin.
