MIDWAY HANDICAP 1500m
Good early pressure with Satness or Trafalgar Square likely to take up the running. PEACE OFFICER (1) finally drawn a decent gate and gets weight relief with Stanley's 3kg claim. Comes out of a strong rating contest when seventh to Meridiana and Rotagilla over 1600m at Newcastle in BM78 grade. Norton bit goes on and will prove hard to stop at this level. TAMBELOA (2) returns from a let-up and will find this more to his liking. Huge effort at the big odds when a sound on-pace fourth over 2000m in the G1 Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick on October 25. Fitted with a 1000m trial and shapes as a top-three chance. YABBY PUMP (10) returned excellent closing splits two-back, before disappointing when eighth over 1400m at Newcastle in BM68 class. Key jockey change and expected return to form. Each way. CAPE BYRON (4) chasing his third victory this time in after surging late to score over this trip at Hawkesbury with the 59.5kg. Roper's claim keeps him in the contest despite drawing out. CALLISTEMON (7) far from disgraced first-up and the extra trip is in her favour. SUGGESTED PLAY: Peace Officer each way. |

HYLAND RACE COLOURS HANDICAP 1800m
Reasonable tempo with Existential Bob probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. FULL HAO (4) comes up from Victoria and finds an easier contest fourth-up. Will benefit with Grima's 3kg claim and the blinkers go on. Closed late when third over 1800m at Caulfield. Can race with cover from the sticky draw and finish over the top of them. NATOYA (2) consistent mare who gets the visors added from the inside draw. Back in class and trip after catching the eye in the soft (7) going when fourth at Kembla Grange in a BM78. Can race a touch closer and stake her claim. HORIZONS (5) comes here in peak condition and likely to push forward and try and pinch some cheap sectionals mid race. Respect. ECLAIR ENCORE (1) indicated a win was imminent when charging late for a close second over 1550m at Canterbury. Ready for the trip and stays in the calculations. EXISTENTIAL BOB (3) fitter now and the blinkers go on from the good barrier. Can tag the speed and take a hand in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Full Hao gets her chance with the claim. |

TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP 1500m
Expecting a strong gallop with Stormbringer and Sacred Mistress taking up the running over Sure Intentions. Another difficult Highway. MOUNT BONA (9) lightly raced mare heading in the right direction. Produced a solid set of figures as fav when saluting over the mile at Scone in C1 grade. Gets in light with Nock's claim and can surprise some of her more fancied rivals. SANTATIME (3) building a solid winning CV and deserves his chance in town. Rounded them up effortlessly with the 59kg when saluting over 1600m at Gosford in a C1. Jason Collett retains the ride in a fairly average Highway. STORMBRINGER (7) has come back a more consistent gelding this prep and looking for the 1500m now. Sat on the speed with the 60.5kg when a determined winner over 1300m at Canberra in a TAB Federal. Will roll forward and prove hard to run down. ZUCCHERO (2) excellent return with the 63kg when a gritty nose winner over 1300m at Scone. Gets map favours with the big weight drop. Leading prospect. WRITE YOUR OWN (8) raced without luck all prep and not without each way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mount Bona and Santatime to fight it out. |

VINNIE @ YARRAMAN PARK HANDICAP 1500m
In the absence of noted leaders, Viktor and Dark Simba may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. MORTAL HALO (9) nice colt heading in the right direction. Gave his all second-up when a narrow second over this track and trip behind Ivan's Hero. Raced at Group level last time in work and strips fitter on the limit. Tags the speed and sure to be thereabouts. DARK SIMBA (2) snagged back from the wide gate before surging late with a respectable sixth first-up over 1400m at Caulfield. Gets the right set-up for this with his good second-up record. Top-three contender. AUTOMNE TREE (7) quickly running out of chances and the blinkers go on for this. Warmed up late when fourth over 1550m at Canterbury. Stays in the mix. SWIFT LEGEND (5) going nicely through his grades but doesn't get the same map favours here. Place prospects best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mortal Halo gets his chance with the 53kg. |

ASAHI SUPER DRY HANDICAP 1200m
Plaintiff or Supermassive to lead the small field. NITRO (4) looked the goods on debut, before giving away too much start with the 60kg when a fast finishing third over 1200m at this track. Expecting the blinkers to do the trick in a competitive little race. SUPERMASSIVE (7) fast into stride at his second race start when he demolished his rivals in fast time over 1200m at Canterbury. Can take control again in this stiffer race and give plenty of cheek. PLAINTIFF (9) expensive filly who got map favours on debut when a commanding Maiden winner over this track and trip. Likely to go back from the sticky draw and place claims look best.
SANCTIFIED (5) deep into the preparation and going better than his current price suggests in the small field. UNITED STATES (6) strips fitter second-up and will keep improving as he gets out in trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nitro gets his chance with the blinkers going on. |

CATANACH'S JEWELLERS HANDICAP 1100m
In a small field either Hawker Hall or Dollar Magic will find the front. CREPE MYRTLE (7) exciting mare who jumps many grades for this on the limit weight. Anchored with the 60kg when rounding Swordplay up effortlessly over this trip at Canterbury. Swordplay franked the form on Wednesday at Warwick Farm. Stalks the fast tempo and can win again. HAWKER HALL (6) speedy gelding who returned in good style with a courageous on-pace second to Spywire over 1000m at Kembla Grange on the rain affected track. Proven at the trip and will take catching. CARBONADOS (2) kept his solid first-up record intact when closing well for a convincing win over 1200m at Randwick. Since fitted with an 800m jump out placing and the drop back to 1100m shouldn't pose a problem. DOLLAR MAGIC (4) tough old mare resuming. Comes to hand quickly and latest 900m trial win looked sound. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crepe Myrtle will take holding out. |

CHANDON HANDICAP 1300m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Maid Of Moolah. BELLA CORAZON (13) took good late ground off Weeping Woman on resumption when third over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Goes even better second-up and she gets a much better set-up for this. Go close. WINGS OF DESIRE (7) well bred mare who returned from a lengthy spell with a tenacious on-pace win over 1200m at Caulfield Heath. Kept ticking over with a 1000m jump out and has the upside to overcome the sticky draw. SUPER NUI (4) cruised across from the awkward gate and had the race parcelled up inside the 200m when a dominant winner over 1400m at Kembla Grange in Midway class. Will stalk the speed and expected to figure prominently. MAID OF MOOLAH (6) went out fast with the rise in weight before folding up in the straight when sixth over 1400m at this track last Saturday. Suited back to the 1300m and can get across from the gate. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bella Corazon can return to winning form. |

TAB HANDICAP 1400m
Expecting a keen tempo with Whinchat set alight, joined by Midnight Opal and Astero up front. Tricky contest. MICKEY'S MEDAL (9) saves his best for this course and like the way he closed late when a tidy first-up second over 1400m at Canberra. Can sit off them from the good draw and stake his claim late. MIDNIGHT OPAL (17) has been thereabouts at all three runs back and racing like the 1400m will suit. Expected to gain a start and can take a hand in the finish. PIPPIE BEACH (15) good fresh mare who returns with two trials under the belt. Saves her best for this track and trip. Stays in the mix. The chances don't end there. GREEN SHADOWS (16) comes here with a fitness edge over most of these and no surprise to see him take a hand in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Trifecta 9,17,15,16. |

CAPTIVANT @ KIA ORA HANDICAP 2000m
Expecting Hurstville Zagreb to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. KIND WORDS (3) forced to work hard in a strong rating contest when fourth over 1850m at Newcastle. Tim Clark sticks in a weaker contest and she gets the gun run. HURSTVILLE ZAGREB (4) prepared to give one more chance on the firmer surface. Control freak who began awkwardly and was forced to chase hard before he folded up in the straight when seventh over 2000m at Kembla Grange. Expecting Hyeronimus to get the best out of him. BELLE DETELLE (2) ready for the 2000m now after racing closer to the speed when a sound third over 1800m at this track last Saturday. Leading contender. FORMAT (9) hard to catch on his day. Drops 4kg after his latest placing at Canterbury. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Kind Words. |

THE INGLIS INFLUENCE HANDICAP 1300m
Expecting Elson Boy to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. TUNED (2) above average gelding with the early speed to get across from the wide gate. Clearly strengthened over the break and can go one better here over the 1300m. Gets weight relief with Nock's claim and sure to measure up. APPLAUD (13) appreciated the rain affected conditions first-up when a surprise winner from back in the field over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Best form is early in the prep and can go on with it today. BARTOLF (10) in career best form and returns from a let-up. Strong through the line when fourth to Tuned over 1200m here. Genuine top-three chance. SILVANITO (14) headed north to grab a last-start Doomben win and draws to be competitive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,13,10,14. |
