TURN IT UP (6) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 800m at this track when second, beaten 3.5 lengths. Promising type with improvement to come so he shouldn't be a maiden for long. STATUS SYMBOL (4) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when fourth at this track over 800m, beaten 5 lengths in the same race as Turn It Up. Worth noting Zackey gets off this to ride the other. Has upside though and watch for a much better performance this time. TIME IS PRECIOUS (5) is a two-year-old gelding on debut from the stable of J A Janse Van Vuuren. By Querari from Twilight Hour. Any push in betting should be respected. CONTINENTAL KING (10) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished sixth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1200m at Turffontein Inside. Did find some trouble in the run and wasn't too far from the winner. Has good upside and can open winning account this time. SPECIAL AL (13) is a first-starter by Rafeef from Lady Al who has produced a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Comes out of the strong juvenile stable of Mike Mathew De Kock who have a greta record with debutantes. SAKURA HANAMI (15) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1160m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. CAPTAIN'S EXPRESS (9) is a three-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Fabian Habib. By Captain Of All from Safe Harbour. Lots of those looks close to wins. INSPIRATION (1) has been find the line strongly, the latest going down narrowly. Progressing well and a win is on the cards. POWER OF PEARLS (2) is long overdue having placed 5/6 starts including only try here. Should be in the finish again. BLOOMING LOVELY (7) ran on hard on debut and filled a minor placing. Has upside and capable of taking this out. GULF OF AMERICA (9) was well off best last run before a spell. Ran very well here on debut to place and worth another chance. |

ONE FINE WINTER (4) was Grade 1 placed last two runs before a spell. Classy galloper yet to miss the frame in six starts including two wins. Goes very well here and expected to go close. YIPPEE KIYAY (2) wound up strongly to score a determined win last time. First try here but unbeaten at the trip and expected to go close again. BJORN IRONSIDE (1) finished third last start over 1000m at Vaal when he did his best work late, beaten 4 lengths. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out. KING HARALD (5) was thereabouts last start and expected to give a sight. |

PALACE ATTACK (5) is having first try at the trip but has good speed and shows plenty of ability. Expected to take catching. OPEN HIGHWAY (3) looks the main threat and close to a win. Placed 3/5 at the trip, including last start here. Capable of going to the next level. IMPACT INVESTOR (6) is fitter for two runs back and this easier. Placed 3/4 this course and distance and capable of a better showing. OMBUDSMAN (2) won last start and is well-placed again. Has pace and will be in this for a long way. |

WAR OF KINGDOMS (15) has been thereabouts last couple but has a good record this shorter trip and at the course and distance. Will be storming home late. GIMMETHEGOODLIFE (1) was an open class winner latest. Jockey has a great record aboard and with good early speed is sure to go well again. ONE EYE ON VEGAS (10) wasn't disgraced when fourth in stakes class latest. Ran on well and will be charging again late here. MIAMI MOUNTAIN (11) tackled the dame stakes race as One On Eye Vegas last time and had little luck. Safely held but back in grade and gets chance to atone. |

A lot of thee struggling fore their best but BUMPS LAST GRIND (1) looms vowed well placed here fresh. Resuming in easier grade and placed 2/2 while fresh. Has the big claim and looks an excellent chance. HIS LORDSHIP (3) was disappointing this grade latest. Leading rider replaced claimer and with good speed is well worth another chance. Nicely placed to atone. INAFIX (5) wasn't far away in tougher latest and is a course and distance winner. Top chance. CLAIRWOOD ROSE (2) turned in a mediocre effort last time out but this suits. Leading rider aboard and gets chance to atone. |
