Slow into stride with the 58.5kg when a plugging eighth over 1810m at Eagle Farm in C3 grade. Can race closer from the inside gate and assert his class. CITY GOLD READY (8) turned things around when rolling forward for a dominant on-pace victory over 1900m at Armidale. A repeat effort will see him prove hard to stop again. MISSION TO WIN (6) has a win at this track and stretches out to this trip for the first time. Back in distance and never comfortable in the heavy going when sixth over 1420m at Grafton. Deep into the prep and must be respected. SEETHING SEB (7) three runs back have been okay and this looks much easier. Plugged late when fifth over 2100m at Beaumont (Newcastle).
