2025 1EQUINE AUSTRALASIAN YOUNG DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 10 (BAND 5) 1660m
ROCKET CITY (10) made it three wins from four starts at this circuit and distance since joining Donny Smith for this campaign when he crossed to the lead before scoring by 1.8m last time. Cops a back row draw but is going well enough to overcome that. SKYLORD (2) has come from wider barriers at his last couple and hasn't been too far off the placegetters. Led and fought on for second in Sydney four back so can be prominent from the low draw. JORDY (1) is close to a win off back-to-back seconds here. On a quick back-up from Tuesday and gets his chance from the ace draw. BETTERTHAN POPSY (6) has been racing consistently and is worth including after placing from a similar barrier last week while KUZMA (8) draws for a trail and can be competitive. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

2025 WOLF SIGNS 4YO CHAMPIONSHIP (GROUP 3) 2138m
THE JANITOR (9) cops another tricky draw but continues to perform strongly, missing by a neck in the Rising Sun before drawing deeper on this row and working before going under by a head last week. Big on talent and with a touch better luck can return to the winners' list. MAJOR HOT (1) is building up to a win. Hasn't been far away when tackling these rivals in his last couple of outings and the ace draw gives him every chance to deliver. OUR LUCIANO (7) showed what he is capable of in last week's Kevin Thomas 4YO, overcoming a second row barrier to beat The Janitor. Draws wide but could go on with it now that he is back in winning form. GLITTER AINT GOLD (4) was good when placed last week, adding to a string record at this distance. Can feature again. OUR GOAT (5) jumps in grade but has been winning impressively. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

ID25 LADBROKES INTER DOMINION PACING CONSOLATION (GROUP 3) 2680m
BETTER ECLIPSE (4) is an accomplished pacer who was runner up in the Inter Dominion Final here 18 months ago and narrowly missed this year's decider after solid efforts for fourth in both heats. He was drawn wide on the back row last week so will enjoy this more favourable barrier. BEACH BALL (1) didn't quite perform to market expectations through the series but was racing well prior. Should enjoy a soft run from the ace draw so could salvage something from the series. NYACK (11) draws on the back row again but is going well. Had no luck when severely checked in his opening heat before chasing Leap To Fame when runner-up last week. That was just his second try at this distance and he won the other. Big chance with even luck. I BREAK THE LINE (10) wasn't too far off the placegetters in both rounds, the last off a similar draw to this. Include along with KANENA PROVLIMA (12) who draws awkwardly but was back in the placings when chasing Leap To Fame last week. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

2025 LADBROKES QUEENSLAND OAKS (GROUP 1) 2138m
CAPTAINS MISTRESS (11) has been terrific in winning her three Queensland starts, last time taking advantage of the ace draw to lead and beat older male rivals by 5m. Overcame barriers on this row to win her previous two outings, racing deep but proving too strong in the Redcliffe Oaks two back. High class and hard to stop. SOHO AMERICANO (3) pushed to the front from a wider barrier last week and toughed out a win. That saw her unbeaten here and took her record at this distance to five from five. A good draw should see her in the finish. MANHATTEN CHICK (1) is progressing strongly and made it three wins from her last four when she came from the back row to beat some of these rivals in the South East Oaks last time. Must respect from the ace draw. GUNNA RELOAD (7) led from this barrier to beat the boys in Sydney last week and has measured up to the top fillies before. NSW Oaks winner COOL AND CLASSY (5) will have been set to peak again for this and owns an impressive strike rate here. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

2025 LADBROKES QUEENSLAND DERBY (GROUP 1) 2680m
FATE AWAITS (10) was terrific from this row when charging through along the sprint lane to beat older rivals in the Rising Sun. Draws wider so may have to cop a tougher run but that last win was his eighth in 10 tries here and he has a knack of showing his best on a Group 1 night. HESITATE (1) pushed to the front from a wider barrier and was too good here last week, his third success from four starts this time in. Has ground to make up on a few of these through the Rising Sun but has the gate speed to take advantage of the ace draw and that gives him every chance. RUBIRA (7) draws wide to follow his midfield effort in the Rising Sun but beat Fate Awaits in their two prior clashes and has the class to overcome the barrier. MAC BON (3) has won two of his past four starts despite some tough draws so looks an each way player from a better barrier as does JACKS ULTIMATE FURY (9) who was very good when third from this same barrier in the Rising Sun and put together a string of wins prior. 2025 GARRARDS THE GOLDEN GIRL (GROUP 1) 1660m
Defending champion EYE KEEP SMILING (2) had to work from a wider barrier last week and looked under threat in the straight but drew on all her strength and class to stretch her winning streak to nine. Faces many of the same rivals and that looked their best chance to beat her as she draws to enjoy better favours tonight so is hard to tip against. WA mare STENO (4) has been ultra consistent through her eastern mission, recording six straight placings without winning. Four of those have been behind Eye Keep Smiling including last week's head defeat from a back row draw. She could push her rival again. TAY TAY (1) worked from a tough barrier last week but draws the ace tonight. She can be competitive from there. RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (5) is good enough to warrant a spot in first four bets as is LUX AETERNA (8) who draws for a nice trail. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

ID25 LADBROKES INTER DOMINION TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND FINAL (GROUP 1) 3157m
Kiwi star BET N WIN (5) shoots for a series clean sweep after making it four wins on the trot with a 3.5m success last week. Showed some versatility there by using the sprint lane and finishing hard after leading throughout and dominating in round one. Unbeaten here and left NZ with a Rowe Cup win over 3200m so the distance holds no fears. ARCEE PHOENIX (1) has been building nicely through the series and should be hitting his peak fourth up. Started on the back row and worked when runner-up last week and draws for a soft run. Looks to have a real sense of timing so is a huge chance. GUS (13) isn't the most reliable of trotters but has been the eye catcher in steaming home to place from similar barriers in both rounds. If he gets it right on the big night he could blow them away. Last week's winner PARISIAN ARTISTE (4) is very honest and placed in his only try at this distance. Draws to be competitive. Little has gone to plan for OSCAR BONAVENA (12) this series but he has the talent. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

ID25 LADBROKES INTER DOMINION PACING CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND FINAL (GROUP 1) 3157m
A tricky inside draw looks the only realistic threat to a LEAP TO FAME (1) cakewalk. The local superstar was dominant in coming from the inside of the second row to win both heats, taking his record here to a phenomenal 38 from 44. Untried at the distance but his toughness and stamina suggest he will relish it. Risks being crossed early but as long as he can gain clear air he should claim a second Inter Dominion crown. Defending champion DON HUGO (6) needs to turn around last week's disappointment but did overcame a second row draw for a strong win in round one. Clearly the second best horse in this field so could still make a race of it. CAPTAINS KNOCK (9) did a good job to come from wide barriers for second in both rounds. Draws for a soft run on the pegs and if the luck presents can get into the trifecta. SPEAK THE TRUTH (3) led from this draw to win last week's heat so could give a sight. Veteran MAX DELIGHT (11) is tough enough to get into the first four over the marathon journey. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

2025 PRYDE'S EASIFEED TROTTING FREE FOR ALL (GROUP 3) 2680m
ALDEBARAN ACRUX (6) did well when beaten only 4.3m in round one of the Inter Dominion but broke last week. Had left Victoria with a win over a handy mare at Melton. If she gets it right tonight she'll be hard to stop. TAYLAD TO USE (3) also comes through the Inter Dominion series and was only 1.2m behind Aldebaran Acrux in round one. Proven here and draws to advantage. MCGEE (4) is on the back up from a second after racing parked on Tuesday and had won three of his previous four outings here so is in good form. SIR FAHRENHEIT (10) beat the top two selections home when fourth in the first of his Inter Dominion heats. Player with luck from the draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: |

LADBROKES QUEENSLAND DERBY/OAKS CONSOLATION 2680m
Former Kiwi STRIKEM (3) was good in a Queensland Derby qualifier in his first outing for Shane Graham, coming from a back row draw for third behind the Derby favourite. Enjoys a class drop and is much better served by this barrier. HEEZA MALTEEZA (7) came from a similar draw to this in the Derby qualifier and finished one spot behind Strikem. That continued his consistent form. Can be in the finish again. ITS ELECTRIFYING (9) strikes at 50 per cent here and is good enough to feature with even luck from his second row draw. WILLIAMS (6) has been racing consistently and could get into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: |
