The pace looks suspect in this and should be a purely rider tactical battle. The winner and likely at even money or less is NORDIC. His two runs have been good and drawn the ace today plus the rise to a mile is ideal. How can they beat the 3yo gelding from the ace? SPIRITED is drawn out but still a place and first four chance. No luck of late. HEREMON is an improver on his fresh up effort here. Drawn to be in the finish. FLOMILINE is racing better than her record so far can ever seem. Senior rider on. Chance at double figures. THOUSAND STARS is an improver on last start. Sly one to make the trifecta and first four worthwhile as could well be the leader by default. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nordic will be too short for a win bet so run the trifecta and/or first four behind it with Flomiline and Thousands Stars for second only then add in the likes of Spirited and Heremon then maybe Highland Dancer and Mont Ventoux for third or fourth.
