Chalpelco and Red Knot both possess fast early toe. Few down in the weights hold the keys. REGENT produced a sharp finish when narrowly beaten here resuming. Fitter for that and gave the impression this trip will suit. Not disgraced in a G3 last time in and that form ties in well for a race like this. THE AVENGER broke the maiden at Gosford last start after two runner-up efforts prior. Progressing well and can measure-up. BRING A SECRET and CHAPELCO for the exotics. Chapelco and Red Knot will vie for the early lead ahead of this big field in a truly run final event. The lightly raced REGENT turned in a huge performance first up over 1300m at this venue, storming home from back in the field to grab 2nd in a flashing light run. Was tested in stakes grade last prep at just his second outing so Godolphin has an opinion of this son of Lonhro. THE AVENGER for Chris Waller cracked his maiden last start with a comprehensive win at Gosford over 1200m, attacking the line with gusto. Will improve further as he gets out to this journey. CHAPELCO responded to the application of blinkers last start by leading all the way to score with ease over 1350m at the Beaumont circuit. Talented gelding who will take some running down today. ROCKAFELLA flew home last time and is sure to appreciate the extra furlong this afternoon. SUGGESTED PLAY: Regent to end proceedings.
