Good speed in this and Tecza should push forward from the wide draw to take up the lead with Carraig Aonair also on speed. A proper test of speed to close the card with a few of the runners from deeper barriers pressing forward. SWAMPLAND drawn in a bit gets a nice trail and is a leading contender first run back from six months in the paddock. Kicked off last prep with an impressive win over this journey at Mornington then went on to race competitively at Caulfield and Randwick in much better races than this. Only needs to be half right to take this out. MANDEE found the front momentarily last start over this trip at Pakenham before being overwhelmed late, hanging on for 3rd. Fitter now and if she can slot in from the awkward gate is going to be a major player. CARRAIG AONAIR resumed as a gelding last start and finished hard to just miss out over this distance at Benalla. Regally bred 3yo who will take a lot from that first up run. TERMINALLY PRETTY will be giving them a start but watch for her in the final furlong. SUGGESTED PLAY: Swampland straight out.
