EXTREME CHOICE was good in both runs last campaign, winning the G1 Moir Stakes before a midfield finish in the G1 Coolmore at Flemington before a spell. Undefeated from both previous runs at the course and he has the ability to be winning this. As expected in an Oakleigh Plate there's big speed engaged. Plenty of that speed is drawn low with Wild Rain, Sheidel and Shakespearean Lass all going to hold their ground and Flamberge and Faatinah pressing. Interesting to see how positive they are with EXTREME CHOICE. Has the speed to be right up there but tipping they are happy to hold him up just off the first half dozen and look to let him rip when they straighten up. From that draw he should be out of the skirmish and able to run his race. HELLBENT is also well suited by the wide draw. Got out of his ground last time. Run was a lot better than it looks and he should be far better suited sitting back off a high pressure race this time. KAEPERNICK will be closing with him. Not a great deal between them and both set up to get the same run. Wide draw probably doesn't suit I Am A Star as much as it does that pair. She was very good on speed first up, and has a good hope on that, but may struggle to get that sort of run today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Extreme Choice straight out and include Fell Swoop and Hellbent in multiples.
