Expecting Zijin Cheng, Oakwood Lady, Oskastar and Anytime Baby to inject good early speed here. Not a long run before they start the gentle sweep for home so inside gates or fast beginnings help. Oakwood Lady drawn in close and Oskastar and Zijin Cheng out wider offer strong early pace. The lightly raced ZIJIN CHENG resumes from a five month spell today after a maiden prep that showed he has above average ability. Overcame adversity to win his maiden comfortably over 1400m at his second race start, with fair efforts at Hawkesbury either side of that run. Has been trialling in good style for Bjorn Baker. Only needs to slot in near the fence from the wide gate to be a major force in this company. SOUTHERN FLIGHT returned from a spell as warm favorite last start and got the job done with something in hand over 1100m at Bathurst. Has crossed the line in front 3/4 runs so has earned her big weight. Gets a beautiful run just in behind the leading group and will be tough to hold out thereafter. The consistent OAKWOOD LADY raced handy all the way when runner up over 1150m at Cessnock last start. Likes this track so difficult to leave out. OSKASTAR and MISSY RHYTHMOS are both back in grade today; they command respect. thereabouts. OAKWOOD LADY is your leader but just struggles to win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zijin Cheng to round out proceedings.
