Speed anticipated from Magic Consol, Puccini, Sandhill Chief and Making Mayhem. PROFIT SHARE was very good at Coleraine two back before not beaten far behind his stablemate Refulgent at Moonee Valley. Backs up quickly and gives the impression he will appreciate the step up in trip. Hard to beat. Expecting the outsiders Sandhill Chief and Making Mayhem to lead this year's Cup field at a reasonable tempo. Darren Weir's PROFIT SHARE has been close to the money at his last two outings and looks to have a sense of timing for this feature. Raced worse than midfield but was working home late when a very close sixth over the mile at Moonee Valley last Friday night. Placed in the Coleraine Cup over this trip with 59kgs the start before. Ready to win. The locally trained MAGIC CONSUL has not finished further back than fourth in his last nine runs so is a must for the multis. Even effort last start when a close up fourth over the mile at Caulfield. Has won 2/3 at this trip and Holly McKechnie has forged a great partnership with this gelding. Light weight threat. PUCCINI was a game second under a crushing 66.5kgs last start in the Avoca Cup over 1860m, his first run in 105 days. NZ Derby winner in year's gone by, beating Rising Romance. Looks to be going well and has a massive class edge on these. Patch Adams is talented and cannot be overlooked. SUGGESTED PLAY: Looking to play both Profit Share and Magic Consol.
