Gippsland Boy is a leader draws handy. KILIM is also quick early and may take the trial off an inside gate. Comes off solid placings this grade and goes well this venue. No world beater but gets his chance against these. MR BANDIT COUNTRY also goes well here and hasn’t had much luck the last three. Quite a generous run until they commence the turn for home so all runners should get their chance. Loads of speed engaged, most notably from Savitskaya and Gippsland Boy, so this will be a frenetic sprint. KILIM may wind up in the box seat from gate three and back to this distance looks a strong each way hope. Led but found one better over 1200m at Kilmore most recently. Saves his best for this trip and has 2/2 placings at this circuit. MR BANDIT COUNTRY was on a quick backup last start and appeared a little flat when well held over this course and distance. Normally quite reliable at the 1000m so in this modest field off a three week break makes plenty of appeal. MOTIFIC led but knocked up to miss a place over 1100m at Werribee last start in a tougher race. Has won six races at this trip so from gate two with just 57kgs after the claim looks nicely placed in this grade. GIPPSLAND BOY will go fast and could run a cheeky race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing KILIM each way in a weak affair.
