Falcon Island leads and perhaps gets company from Gauguin. A brisk tempo on the cards as the speedy Falcon Island takes it up from Gauguin, Darci's Affair and Brogue. SEPOY ACHEVA has been about the money all prep in stronger races to this so today could be her day. Came back after being relegated to worse than midfield to be beaten only 1.5 lengths at Randwick recently over 1800m. Placed 5/6 at this trip and loves Canterbury so ticks a few boxes. GAUGUIN led all the way to register a tough win over this course and distance last time out. Getting up in the weights now but still looks the biggest threat. Distance specialist DARCI'S AFFAIR wasn't beaten too far in the Coffs Harbour Cup last start, and the winner went on to salute at Doomben on Saturday to frank the form. Has to be included. KEEP UP and TENORINO for the minors. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Gauguin.
