Ritchford looks the leader from the good draw. CASCATA ROSSA has been a beaten favourite at both runs back. Stable have elected to freshen him up and he gets his chance to produce dropping in grade. THE TINMAN improved sharply winning here last start. Impressed in doing so and still has plenty to offer at just his fifth race start. Byrne takes over and he looms as the main danger. RITCHFORD another with winning form should sit on speed and give a sight. Ritchford drawn in and Skyscraper out a little deeper will look for the front in a race that will offer a genuine pace. CASCATA ROSSA did a good job last start when he tackled a Class 2 at Ipswich over 1200m, working home stoutly to just miss a cheque. Down to a Class 1 this afternoon and his only win came at this journey last prep. Lightly raced gelding THE TINMAN showed a liking for the blinkers last start when he opened his account with a soft win over 1300m at this track. Progressing at each run so another win would not be a shock. RITCHFORD led all the way to register his maiden win last start over this course and distance at start 19. Former Victorian who might not have reached his peak yet this prep so worth following. SKYSCRAPER has been tackling much tougher races and is in a more suitable event today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cascata Rossa for the win.
