Expecting a strong tempo with Van Persie, Mitochondria, Struttin' My Stuff and Mykonos all possessing early toe. VAN PERSIE had to work hard in the run last time so the effort to run fourth had merit and had been runner up at his previous two starts at this track. Drawn to secure a much better run from gate one today. VAN PERSIE can use the rail and brings strong form to this. Placed twice before having no luck last time off the wide gate. He’s ready to win. SHIVARCHI made good improvement placing in the same race and gets the 3kg claim today. Just needs some luck off the tricky gate. BURGUNDY LASS was good placing in stronger two back and forget the last when she missed the kick. STRUTTIN' MY STUFF is a last start Maiden winner and had been threatening. Has scope for plenty of improvement but the 3kg claimer will need good fortune off this draw.
SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Van Persie with the benefit of the rails draw.
