No noted pacesetter but Capa Caylee should be thereabouts. DEER MOUNTAIN races for the new yard (ex Robl). She has trialled well and always had ability. Hard to line up the form down South but a fresh start and Lloyd to ride are positives. Draws the inside and should be prominent at the finish. JINX 'N' DRINX had market support but could only manage a placing here last start. She gets a fair way back in her races but look for her late. MAGIC KITTY was a Dalby winner last start but Ben Currie has a knack of bringing them to town and measuring-up. Chances don't end there. Capa Caylee and Elite Force will press on from the middle of the line, followed by Red Deck and Magic Kitty out deeper. DEER MOUNTAIN has been freshened up since finishing 3rd in heavy going at Goulburn over the mile 47 days ago. Now with Toby Edmonds and a recent strong trial suggests she is on track for a winning start to life in Queensland. WHODUNNIT overcame a knock early in the race to work home in good style to grab 3rd over this trip at Ballina last start. Genuine mare who did a good job at her first try at seven furlongs so further improvement is expected. FELINO BEL staged a brave effort to be beaten only 2L into 4th last start over 1200m here after being forced wide in the run. Drawn well today and the step up in trip suits. RED DECK will be prominent while fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Deer Mountain for the win.
