MERVYN can lead and is the one to beat. Has placed both runs this campaign heavily-backed and looks to have an edge. RAGNO ROSSO improved 2U at the provincials and can make the quinella in this company. BELOW THE RADAR debuts off the rail and watch the market closely.
The Dictator is a fast beginner and the likely leader. Coming over to join him in front will be MERVYN whose recent form reads well. Started in the red last start and led into the straight before being overhauled late in proceedings over today's trip. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and looks the goods in a moderate field. RAGNO ROSSO settled midfield but lacked the turn of foot required when 5th over 1000m at Northam recently. Suited by the extra 100m this afternoon and can improve at his third run back. THE DICTATOR went fast but was trapped deep and dropped right out on debut over 1000m. Will take a lot from that experience and from the good draw will take some catching. First starters TEMPLE MAN and BELOW THE RADAR are ones to watch in betting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Mervyn.
