W Wilson Medal Ata 5/10 Mdn 1200m

Track: GOOD 3   Clouds Early Clearing Late   Rail: Out 4.5m 1400-W/P; Out 2m Remainder. (Pent: 4.35).

Fantastic Halo from the wide draw should press forward and assert authority. SWEET CAVIAR has resumed with two solid placings this time in. Should benefit from the inside draw and appears hard to beat in a race thin on depth. LADY EIGHTY EIGHT was disappointing here last start. Run prior on debut when narrowly beaten looks a good reference and he can bounce back. CREIDNE resuming has trialled well and could be in for a good preparation. Edmonds/Lloyd combination always warrants respect. All the pace here comes from wider gates, notably Fantastic Halo, Creidne and Lady Eighty Eight. SWEET CAVIAR gets the perfect trail from the inside gate and after two nice runs this prep looks poised. Raced handy and didn't shirk her task to finish 3rd over 1100m at this track last start. Very fit now and has found the ideal race to open her account. LADY EIGHTY EIGHT went close over this course and distance on debut two runs back then pulled up with a respiratory issue last start. Big chance back from a 39-day let up. FATZ rated highly when a fast-finishing runner up over 1050m at Toowoomba last time out. Big threat as she gets out to this journey. Watch for a better run from CREIDNE having her first run for Toby Edmonds - trial form has been impressive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sweet Caviar straight out.
