Good speed engaged with Millinery prominent and Sylvie's Pride and Bettina likely to be close by. Millinery will go fast while fresh and lead this field from Sylvie's Pride and Happy Pilgrim. LAYNE'S STAR was thrown in the deep end last start when resuming from an 11 month spell, finishing seventh in a rich 1100m race at Ballarat behind the very promising Speedeor. Will derive great benefit from that run and the massive drop in class today. Drawn ideally so should settle a pair or two back behind a strong tempo. MILLINERY is first up for Lindsay Park since a brief maiden campaign in the winter months where she showed promise. Placed on debut down the straight 1100m at Flemington then was sent out at a short quote and led into the lane over this trip on the Pakenham synthetic before finding a couple too strong. Look for a bold first up display. SYLVIE'S PRIDE impressed on debut recently over 1100m at Wangaratta, racing handy for the trip and hanging on gamely for third. Better for the run and the extra distance doesn't hurt her chances. FLYING COMET has been effective in two starts over this trip so must be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Millinery.
