A near capacity field faces the starter in this year's renewal of the Breeders' Plate with speed anticipated from Condor Heroes, Piracy, Misty Lad, Showtime and Bowerman. CONDOR HEROES couldn't have been more impressive in his sole trial, leading and spacing his rivals at Randwick over 850m. Looks to possess good ability and while raceday is a completely different kettle of fish, he is expected to make his presence felt. Big field of debutants so watch for plenty of early pressure up front. CONDOR HEROES has been one of the better two-year-old triallers seen so far this season having bolted in over 850m at this course in his lone official trial. He ran time and did it effortlessly. A wide barrier here on debut is not ideal but the colt looks to have an abundance of raw talent which offsets the draw. PIRACY was a trial winner on the same day, running slightly slower time and working a bit harder to get the job done. The current form of John O'Shea and James McDonald cannot be ignored. Team Snowden and Blake Shinn also make for a respected combination. They team up with KHAN who also comes off a trial win on the same day. BOWERMAN won his trial with a bit in reserve. He could be a value player from an inside draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tricky race but happy to side with Condor Heroes.
